It's official. The Milwaukee Brewers will be bringing Hank the Dog to the Brew City.
The team announced that Hank will move north from Arizona to Milwaukee on Sunday. Mayor Tom Barrett and County Executive Chris Abele will join the welcoming party.
A Brewers executive will adopt Hank for his permanent home there.
“There are so many people who have been part of the ‘Hank story;’ fans, players and coaches, front office staff, media, and all of those in his circle of caregivers,” said Brewers President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Doug Melvin in a statement.
“We’re grateful to have an opportunity to make Hank a permanent member of the Brewers family, but even more important, we’re thrilled that he is going to a great family that will ensure that he is loved and comfortable in his new Wisconsin home.”
Hank has become one of the most beloved figures in baseball this spring training since he came onto the Milwaukee Brewers' facility in Arizona as a stray, according to the Brewers.
