The NFL has divulged more details as to why it's banning grills for tailgating at Super Bowl XLVIII in New Jersey, just across the Hudson River from New York City.
In a Twitter conversation with TODAY'S TMJ4 Storm Team 4Caster and Packers superfan Brian Gotter and me, NFL public relations executive Brian McCarthy went into specific details about the policy.
He first went into the reasons for the 13-year-old policy.
He also specified grills and taking up more than one parking spot as the policies, not necessarily bringing your own food and beer.
@BrianGotter nothing new. 13th consec year of this. just can't grill. bring own food/beer & park in 1 spot. 80% won't have cars anyway— Brian McCarthy (@NFLprguy) December 10, 2013
