Most Milwaukee Brewers fans believed that in 2014, starting pitcher Wily Peralta would continue an upward climb toward realizing the talent Doug Melvin and Ron Roenicke know he has.
That climb has turned into a rocket ride, as Peralta leads MLB in wins (14), including Thursday's triumph over the contending San Francisco Giants.
"I don't think any of us would have predicted when the season began," said FS Wisconsin Brewers host and 620WTMJ "Brewers 360" and "Brewers Extra Innings" contributor Craig Coshun.
"We knew Peralta had a lot of potential to do some really good things. Now, he's starting to do some really great things. The bottom line, when you look at the number of wins that he has on his total after a Brewers loss, which is nine...when you start putting the definition of what a true ace is, when you can include the word 'stopper' in there, first and foremost, he's making sure this team doesn't go on any prolonged skid of any kind.
