Melvin: Brewers to keep looking for bullpen help

By Jay Sorgi. CREATED Aug 7, 2014

The Major League Baseball non-waiver trade deadline came and went, and GM Doug Melvin didn't get anyone to help the Milwaukee Brewers bullpen in a deal.

However, Melvin says he's not done.  There's still the waiver trade opportunity which could come this month.

"We'll keep looking to see if someone can help.  We've had a bit of leakage out there," Melvin told 620WTMJ's "Wisconsin's Morning News."

"We've identified the an area in a pennant race that you try and strengthen.  We were unable to acquire anybody.  There just haven't been any bullpen guys available."

Melvin also said Marco Estrada probably won't start Saturday due to his bullpen outing Wednesday night.
