The Milwaukee Brewers' latest acquisition did not come through tough negotiations with an agent, the Rule 5 draft or some other sort of magic from general manager Doug Melvin.
It came from compassion for a stray dog, whom they've named after arguably the most beloved home run hitter in the last 75 years.
The Brewers say they have adopted a stray dog at their spring training home in Maryvale, Ariz.
His name is Hank, named after former Milwaukee Braves and Brewers slugger Hank Aaron who hit 755 home runs in his career and led the Braves to the 1957 World Series title.
