Woman claims Jennings wrote 'Packers suck' on a helmet

By Jay Sorgi. CREATED Sep 18, 2013

A woman has made a so-far unconfirmed claim through social media that a former Green Bay Packers receiver wrote a rather derogatory message about his former team on a helmet he signed.

The woman, Mikaela, tweeted this message with an Instagram after, she said, Vikings receiver Greg Jennings signed a helmet and added the words "Packers Suck" to it.

Both Cheesehead TV and Lombardi Avenue, whose editor Ray Rivard contributes to TMJ4.com's Packers coverage, reported the story.

The owner of the Instagram which had a picture of the helmet - possibly Mikaela - took that picture off the account on Wednesday.  However, a Twitter user named Adam Vieau sent this tweet to Jennings with the pic.

Rivard also reached out to Mikaela.

When asked if he signed it, Jennings told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune: "Oh my gosh. I’m not even going to jump into that. I’ll let that story be what it is. If you guys want to hype it. That doesn’t have anything to do with football, does it?"

"I’m not even going to address that. Are we talking football? Are we talking football or are we talking something else?"

Well, did he actually sign it?

We found another autographed item which Jennings reportedly signed that also has some printing on it for comparison.

Look at the printing on the helmet and the letters written on a Greg Jennings Packers Super Bowl jersey that Waukesha Sports says they're selling on their web site.

However, there has been no confirmation that Jennings added the message to the signature on the Vikings helmet.

Jennings has spent much of this summer taking time to criticize the Packers organization and quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
