It appears that one of the Packers' top social media mavens is going that route to get one of his teammates on NBC's "The Voice."
NBC is listening.
They sent that tweet inviting guard T.J. Lang to try out.
It all began with a tweet in October from guard Josh Sitton:
After TODAY'S TMJ4's Vince Vitrano furthered the campaign, Sitton responded:
Finally, Sitton had a tweet appear on Monday's show.
However, the tryouts are scheduled for Dec. 14-15 in Los Angeles (the weekend of the Cowboys game), Jan. 11-12 in Philadelphia, Jan. 18-19 in Chicago and February 1-2 in Nashville, all potential Packers postseason weekends.
We have absolutely no idea whether Lang has any singing talent.
We do know teammates Aaron Rodgers and Brett Goode have guitar skills....
...and defensive lineman C.J. Wilson can play piano pretty well, so at least there's some famous backup musicians on the team if necessary.
Or, he could go the route of former Packers QB Don Majkowski for backup.
