Finley's first spike...uh, pitch at Brewers game doesn't go so well

By Jay Sorgi. CREATED Aug 31, 2013

When it comes to catching a throw, Jermichael Finley is one of the most talented and productive tight ends in the NFL, and stands to possibly have a spectacular year in that department.

Throwing a ball?   Perhaps not so much, if his ceremonial first pitch at the Brewers-Angels game Friday night gives any evidence.

Fox Sports, which covered the game on television, posted video of the throw on YouTube.

Baseball purists might consider the throw as being "just a bit low."

Afterward, he turned to his Packers tight end teammates who joined him for some high-fives and laughs.

On the Brewers' Instagram of the throw, references to it as a "spike" were made by fans.Thankfully for the Packers, Finley is not listed on the quarterback depth chart.
