The Place Got An "A", How Could The Food Suck?
Big Brother is coming to a restaurant near you.
Milwaukee Common Council President Michael Murphy wants a city ordinance that would require the health department to set up a letter grading system for the cleanliness of all restaurants in Milwaukee. The grade would then have to be prominently displayed at the restaurant.
It seems to me that if a place is unsanitary, it should be shut down. Otherwise, is it really the role of the City of Milwaukee to subjectively evaluate restaurants and decide which (in the view of the health inspectors) are cleaner than others?
Also, given the fact that the internet makes everyone a restaurant critic, does the City realy need to get involved?
During the 12 p.m. hour of Thursday's radio show, we'll discuss whether the City should be grading restaurants for cleanliness? Please feel free to share your thoughts in the Comments section - and be sure to check back later to hear a replay of the segment.
