Over the years, I've attended a lot of shows at the Alpine Valley Music Theater in East Troy.
I saw Fleetwood Mac at Alpine Valley when they were touring in support of their "Rumors" album. I've also seen the Rolling Stones, the Grateful Dead and Bruce Springsteen at Alpine Valley - not to mention more Jimmy Buffett shows than I can count.
As a matter of fact, I was at the Jimmy Buffett show at Alpine Valley last Saturday night.
Nostalgia aside, the facility really hasn't changed that much since the late 1970's - and that's not a good thing.
Unfortunately, this year there were only two shows at Alpine Valley (Buffett and Kiss). Last year, the venue was largely empty as well. Presumably, there just aren't that many acts nowadays that can fill a 37,000 seat facility.
In any event, the Alpine Valley Music Theater is now for sale - and can be yours for a mere $8.5 million.
During the 2 p.m. hour of Tuesday's radio program, we'll discuss what the future holds for Alpine Valley?
