He Kept His Old Girlfriend In A Cage ... But Otherwise He Was A Nice Guy

He Kept His Old Girlfriend In A Cage ... But Otherwise He Was A Nice Guy

Former West Alis Police Officer Steven Zelich has been formally charged with hiding two women's bodies in suitcases recently found along a road in Walworth County.  According to authorities, he has admitted meeting both women online, killing them and then stashing their bodies.

For reasons that pass understanding, one of Zelich's former girlfriends has decided to give an interview to Todays TMJ4.   In the interview, the woman acknowledges meeting Zelich through a bondage web site and spending a weekend with him at a motel in Michigan where the pair "had a lot of fun"!

The mind reels!

The woman also says that Zelich told her "that he had a girl who he was with for seven years and he used to keep her caged 90% of the time".  CAGED!  90% of the time!

Despite this knowledge, the woman says she moved to Milwaukee - with her children - and lived with him for about a year.  Did I mention he told her that he kept a previous girlfriend CAGED for 90% of the time they were together?

A younger female friend of mine thinks this is the "Fifty Shades of Grey" syndrome.  In other words, lots of women are so attracted to this type of lifestyle that they're willing to put common sense aside in order to chase a thrill.

During the 1 p.m. hour of Friday's radio show, we'll discuss how stuff like this happens - and why some people knowingly expose themselves to some very dangerous people?

Please feel free to share your thoughts in the Comments section - and be sure to check back later to hear a replay of the segment.
