Halftime headliner Bruno Mars, 28, is currently dealing with an icy microphone that "turns into a Popsicle," while rehearsing for this weekend's Super Bowl XLVIII.
Mars said during a Super Bowl press conference at the Rose Theater in New York's Time Warner Center that "the NFL is such a prestigious stage... and I'm so grateful for that," reports Access Hollywood. Mars' ultimate goal for the show is to "get people dancing, get people smiling."
Mars is said to be including Spanish vocals in his set, and reportedly plans to pass out t-shirts post performance.
According to Access Hollywood, "Mars is one of the youngest artists to perform during the halftime show, following recent performances from Beyonce, Madonna and the Black Eyed Peas, who flopped in 2011." Grammy-winner Mars debuted in 2010 with "Just The Way You Are" from his album "Doo-Wops & Hooligans."
The Red Hot Chili Peppers will join Mars as his special guests.
