Storm Team 4: Temps will start to drop, more snow on its way

Brian Gotter reports that Friday will bring another storm, wind chills will be below zero by Tuesday night.

  • The cold wind has arrived and the forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for an arctic blast the next 36 hours. Except for flurries, the snow is over, but temperatures continue to drop into the lower teens with wind chills of 0 to -10 all day thanks to westerly winds of 20-40 mph.

  • The sky clears tonight, and the temperatures drop into the single digits, above and below zero, with wind chills of -10 to -20.

  • The snow will start late in the evening and mainly be an overnight snow event that will taper off Friday afternoon. When it is all said and done, most of SE Wisconsin will have 3-5" of snow.

  • High pressure is slowing the next storm system down and Thursday will be dry with increasing clouds and highs in the upper 20s.

  • Wednesday will be a little nicer with highs near 20, a lighter wind and lots of sun, but wind chills will be near 0.
