  • A warm front is helping boost temperatures today into the low 30s for all of southeastern Wisconsin today. However, the warmer temperatures come at a price. It will be very windy today with a southwest wind at 10-20 mph, some gusts topping 30 mph.

  • The cloud cover will be increasing as a cold front approaches, giving us a chance for a few flurries and even a light snow shower possible in the north. Flurry chances diminish tonight with seasonal temperatures in the teens.

  • It will still be breezy overnight and into Thursday when the mercury drops behind the cold front. It will be a quick taste of arctic air with 20s and a strong WNW wind although it will be mostly sunny.

  • Another warm front bumps highs up to almost 40 degrees on Friday, though again the temperatures come on a strong SW wind. Temperatures stay mild for January on Saturday before a cold front swings through at night, sparking off a few more flurries or a light snow shower.

  • Arctic air will settle into southeastern Wisconsin and highs will struggle to even stay in the teens next week. Add a bit of wind to those temperatures and even in the sunshine it will feel like a bitter blast of winter.
