GREEN BAY - The only publicly-owned non-profit major pro sports franchise in America is the 17th most-valuable franchise in world pro sports, according to a business publication.
Forbes Magazine ranked the Packers 17th in its yearly study, with a value of $1.09 billion.

"It was a banner year financially, as the team reported record revenue ($302 million) and operating income ($43 million)," said Forbes.
"The team raised $64 million in a stock sale this year, which will go towards a renovation of Lambeau Field."
English soccer superpower Manchester United ranked first, followed by Spanish soccer stalwart Real Madrid.
The Packers ranked ninth among NFL teams in the survey.
The Dallas Cowboys finished tied for third in the survey, while Green Bay's archrivals, the Chicago Bears, finished one spot ahead of them in 16th. MCT
