MILWAUKEE - The new owners of the Milwaukee Bucks are making a big sales pitch to basketball fans and to a potential new partner.

TODAY'S TMJ4 has learned co owner Marc Lasry recently met with Aaron Rodgers to talk about investing.
Lasry put on a Brewers jersey to throw out the first pitch at Miller Park Monday night. These days the new owners are making lots of pitches.
Benson:Tell me about your dinner meeting with Aaron Rodgers?
Lasry: One, he's a phenomenal individual great guy, had an absolute great time. We are talking to him about investing in the Bucks and hopefully that will end up working out.
Lasry is hoping the Bucks and Brewers will have something in common - building a new facility with public support. Lasry says they're off to a good start.
"We have the Senator Kohl who has given us $100 million," said Lasry. "Wes and I are also putting in $100 million. So we are already half way there and I'm pretty confident we will get there."
Lasry talked about a $350 to $400 million dollar arena with about 16,000 seats at a business breakfast meeting Monday morning.
He then met with community leaders on the Metro Milwaukee Association of Commerce Board which played a key roll in building Miller Park
"We need to do this in a very transparent way," said MMAC President Tim Sheehy. "But it is going to be critical to get public financing into what we think will a tremendously impactful project."
Sheehy sees some similarities for the Bucks. Before Miller Park was built, the Brewers were also struggling and public support for using tax dollars was mixed at best.
"Turn around and look at the park today, Brewers are in first place is the National League and almost 3 million fans coming. So it shows you what can happen. "
The Bucks are hoping to line up local investors by July 15th. The NBA has set a deadline of 2017 for a new arena.
