Tracking the Pack - Episode 3: Time for Packers to play

GREEN BAY - "It's time to play.  The guys are sick of hitting each other."

So says Packers analyst Larry McCarren about the 2013 Packers who are ready to embark upon their first preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals at Lambeau Field (5:00 p.m. on 620WTMJ, 6:30 p.m. on TODAY'S TMJ4/NBC26).

Perhaps the biggest discussion point had to do with the development of rookie left tackle David Bakhtiari, who is taking over the role from Bryan Bulaga.  He's expected to be out for the year with a torn ACL.

"He's been outstanding from the get go," said Larry about Bakhtiai's development in   "Overall, he's everything you want in a rookie tackle.  If he had been a first round draft choice, you'd be saying, 'What a good pick.' "

Lance and Larry also discussed the Jordy Nelson injury, the Mason Crosby/Giorgio Tavecchio kicking battle, Eddie Lacy's development and what to expect out of Friday night's preseason opener.
