McCarthy: Packers' Young, Coleman in competition for No. 2 QB job

With a few words, the head coach of the Green Bay Packers made a public point Sunday that Vince Young has not clinched any backup quarterback job behind Aaron Rodgers, and B.J. Coleman is still in the mix.
"The number-two spot hasn't been answered," McCarthy told reporters on Sunday.
"B.J. and Vince are going to compete."
Perhaps McCarthy's words were simply to be a motivator for Young, the best-performing quarterback behind Rodgers in preseason games.
However, if taken at face value, it's a wide-open competition.
