It appears a running backs coach, thought to be a potential tutor for Aaron Rodgers at QB after the departure of his position coach, could be a possibility to leave for a job with the Cleveland Browns.

Mike Pettine is thought to be a candidate for the Cleveland Browns job.  CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports that if he gets that job, he could take Packers running backs coach Alex Van Pelt with him.

Van Pelt has been discussed as a possibility for moving over to the quarterbacks coach job and helping Aaron Rodgers after the departure of Ben McAdoo for the New York Giants' offensive coordinator job.

However, the Green Bay Press-Gazetter reports that the Packers could block Van Pelt from leaving, as he has a year left on his contract.
