Apparently, the anger is still simmering in the San Francisco 49ers locker room five days after they defeated the Green Bay Packers 34-28.
A 49ers lineman today said he would mitigate a different punishment to Packers linebacker Clay Matthews than the $15,000 fine he received for a late hit to Coiln Kaepernick.
“Probably punch him in the face,” Alex Boone said to CSN Bay Area. “I don’t want his money.”The hit came out of bounds during the second quarter of the game. (You can see it in our media gallery.) Matthews was benched afterward.
Matthews responded, "I'm not a dirty player, I'm an awesome player."
