The number is mind-numbing: thirteen children under the age of 14 have been shot in Milwaukee this summer.
Mayor Tom Barrett and Police Chief Edward Flynn have both, more than once, voiced their anger and frustration over the senseless gun violence.
They've asked every citizen to engage in and support action that will stop the violence.
Chief Flynn has credited people like pastors and community partners for standing with Milwaukee's leadership in support of finding ways to curb crime rates.
One of those pastors is Pastor Darius Butler from Tabernacle Community Baptist Church. Pastor Butler came on Wisconsin Tonight to explain what it will take for the community to come together to take a stand against violence.
