A Michigan man will finally be reunited with his Corvette that was stolen 33 years ago.
The 1979 Corvette was owned by George Talley. It was stolen in July of 1981. Talley told WXYZ Channel 7 in Detroit that he often wondered about "the one that got away."
Talley says he was sitting in his Detroit home last Friday when he received a call saying his Corvette was in Mississippi and he could come and get it.
Talley previously said that he didn't know if he would fly to Mississippi to drive the car home or have it shipped.
On Wednesday morning, a vice president with General Motors said that the company would bring the beloved Corvette home at GM's expense.
