At least five people are dead after fatal storms ravaged eastern states overnight Tuesday.
A young church camp group got terrifyingly trapped in an intense storm of heavy wind and rain near Manchester, Maryland, where one child died after he and eight other campers were stuck under a falling tree.
Falling trees were also to blame in New York, as four homes were destroyed and four people were killed in Syracuse.
"As of early Wednesday morning, more than 207,000 customers in Pennsylvania still had no electricity, the state's major utility companies said," reports CNN. "And more than 87,000 New York state residents were still in the dark Wednesday morning."
The death toll may increase as additional post-storm reports come in.
