BROOKFIELD - Mike in Waukesha County wants to know what's created a big bump on I-94 near Brookfield Rd.

The Department of Transportation says the bump was caused by the extreme weather. It's caused the bridge over Brookfield Rd. to settle.

DOT spokesman Mike Pyritz said they plan on sending inspectors shortly to pin point an exact cause.

Bithika Thomspon lives near Brookfield Rd., she's said the bump is causing drivers to reduce their speed and creating congestion.

"We see the traffic moving slowly all day long." She said.

Pyritz isn't  sure exactly when the roads surface will be fixed. He said the rough winter has been especially tough on Wisconsins roads.
