MILWAUKEE - The website continues to cause a lot of sleepless nights.  Chrissie Cummings has tried everyday to sign up, and now she's calling it the stupidest thing she's ever heard of.  We joined Cummings on her lunch break Thursday as she tried one more time to sign up for the Affordable Care Act, in a story she asked TODAY'S TMJ4 to investigate.

"It's just frustrating. You know, they tell me to do it at 1, 2 in the morning. I have a family. I have a job. I can't be up at 2am," said Cummings.
And the help line 1-800-318-2596 isn't helping.  We thought today Cummings' luck might change when a call-taker told her she could sign her up over the phone. But 20 minutes into that call, the call-taker's own computer crashed.
"They're gonna mail me an app to fill out and mail back. They'll tell me if I'm eligible or not and mail me the plans I'm able to enroll for, and then pick a plan, pay for it, and mail it back. All that mail, I don't think it's gonna happen," said Cummings who was under the BadgerCare program and must sign up by December.
Cummings works for an insurance company. She says they wouldn't deal with a company run as poorly as the Affordable Care Act is being run right now.
Wisconsin has more than 400,000 uninsured.  How many have signed up since enrollment began October 1st remains unknown.  State leaders expect the feds to release those numbers November 1st. If they're low, Dan Schwartzer with the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance in Wisconsin wants to know why.
"The questions would be are the rates higher than what consumers anticipated even with the subsidies and is the system still sluggish?" said Schwartzer.
