Complaints filed over Franklin haunted house

FRANKLIN - Haunted houses are all in good fun. But Franklin police have been called numerous times about "The Hill Has Eyes."

Zombies running at you with bloody chainsaws would make anyone howl or scream.

The Rock opened its "The Hill Has Eyes" haunted trail a few weeks ago and since the fright fest began the Franklin police tell us it has received nearly a dozen noise complaints.

We went to the neighborhood where the complaints were filed and found most people didn’t mind the occasional screams.

“It's seasonal - they are done by 11:00 often, it doesn’t last really long," said Rosemary Karnowski.

Joe Zimmerman, manager of the event, is aware of the noise complaints and admitted the police have been to the property .

“The Franklin police have been out here to measure the noise. We are never above the legal limit. We are taking every precaution and trying to be as good of a neighbor as we can.”

Meanwhile Karnowski says besides the occasional screams, she’s glad the Rock is here.
