MILWAUKEE - A Chinese place on Milwaukee's east side has been fined for its violations.
Here's what they were doing wrong in the kitchen:
When the inspector stopped by China Wok on North Farwell Avenue, that inspector found trays of eggs sitting on the microwave. Cloths, soiled beyond cleaning, were being used to wipe up.
Fried rice and cooked chicken were not marked with expiration dates. The shelf life for prepared food is seven days. Both employees were not completely washing their hands, and cooking utensils were stored in a grease stained cardboard box.
Fried rice and chicken were kept in containers used to clear leftover food, dirty dishes and silverware from tables.
When we tried to talk to employees we were told they don't speak any English, and then they walked away.
