Call 4 Action gets results

Got a consumer problem or complaint?

Our Call 4 Action office has been hard at work helping consumers get results.

What kinds of problems are people running into lately?

Some of the hottest complaints include
•    Telemarketing calls that will not stop
•    People who are dissatisfied with tax preparation services
•    An appliance store closing that left people without pre-paid merchandise and warranties
•    Medical billing issues

How can call for action help consumers with these or other types of complaints?

Our dedicated volunteers are here Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to provide a listening ear, mediation of consumer complaints and resources for where to go next.

When we receive a complaint, we ask consumers to provide us with as much information as possible, and then we go to work, digging in to find more information, and working hard to mediate a resolution.

We also want to hear from consumers if they have received a suspicious phone call, letter or e-mail, or if they have fallen victim to a scam or con artist.

This allows us to gather the information, and get the word out so that others do not fall victim.

What kind of success have you had with some of these complaints?

Although we are still in the process of getting more information on some of these cases, we have been able to get a refund for a medical billing error for one consumer, and have gotten help with warranty work on an appliance after a store closed.
