The Green Bay Packers' 95th season begins Sunday with a monumental matchup against the team which knocked them out of the playoffs, the San Francisco 49ers.
It comes after a week where the Packers made some big roster cuts and some major changes at the quarterback slot.
Now, the question at hand - how to win a game against a team that blew them out in the NFC divisional playoffs.
"You cue up the video, you watch it...you see yourself performing in a subpar manner, and you want to fix that, said Packers radio network voice/NBC26 sports anchor Larry McCarren about the main motivation Green Bay has this week.
He used what may be the most accurate phrase for the Packers' thinking: "Self-redemption,"
But they also have strategy to focus on - potentially stopping the key piece of San Francisco's offense that ended Green Bay's season, the read-option offense out of the "pistol" formation.
"If they're not ready this week, they'll never be ready. They spent the whole off-season worried about it," Larry explained about the defensive coaches and players after the debacle by "the bay."
"From day one of the first (organized team activities), the first thing the defense did was line up against the pistol."
Said Larry, "I expect the Packers to hit him."
