Repaving project to begin on East Michigan Street
MILWAUKEE - A project that will repave parts of East Michigan Street in downtown Milwaukee is set to begin Tuesday, September 10th.
The project will repave Michigan from North Water Street to North Van Buren Street. Crews will grind off the existing asphalt and replace it with new pavement. New traffic lines, crosswalks, and parking lines will also be added.
The two westbound lanes of Michigan will be shut down on Tuesday, while two-way traffic will be maintained in the eastbound lanes. When repaving on those lanes is completed, they will switch to repaving the eastbound lanes.
The project is expected to be completed by Friday, September 13.
