President announces desire to strike against Syria
WASHINGTON D.C. - President Barack Obama will seek congressional approval to take military action against Syria.
The President believes it's necessary to hold the Assad regime acocuntable for using chemical weapons against the people there.
Mr. Obama said we are prepared to strike whenever we choose. That could be tomorrow, a week from now or longer., and that he looks forward to hearing the debate from Congress before pressing forward.
The air strike would be limited in duration and scope, and would not put any boots on the ground.
