MILWAUKEE -- Packers fans tell Today’s TMJ4 their hopes for the playoffs are fading, now that Aaron Rodgers may not play for the rest of the season.
Now, many fans say watching the games has become boring.
"I have a bar in Van Buren,” says fan Dennis Librizzi. “No one comes to watch the games that much. Rodgers is out. What are you going to do?"
"With the bar, people leave really fast at the end of the game,” adds wife Sandy Librizzi. “Usually if they win, everybody celebrates. Now, they finish their drink and they're out."
Fans were devastated when they learned Rodgers broke his collarbone about a month ago. They were hoping he'd play on Thanksgiving against the Lions. They’re getting more and more depressed about their team's losing streak. But it's not just Packer Backers who hope he's back on the field.
"Although I’m a Bears fan, I enjoy watching him play," says Robert Howard.
Prospects for the playoffs aren't looking good either.
"I don't think they have a chance at the playoffs this year,” says Howard. “But I think it would be silly to risk bringing him back because he's a unique talent. To bring him back now and risk further injuring him is a really bad idea."
Even though some say the games are now very boring to watch without Rodgers, fans tell TODAY’S TMJ4 they'll still keep watching, and praying for the best.
