MILWAUKEE - Security changes are coming to Mitchell International Airport that could speed things up the next time you travel.
A new program from the TSA is supposed to speed things up for passengers who pay.
The Transportation Security Administration announced in September it would be expanding it expedited screening program to 60 new airports in addition to the existing 40, bringing the total number of airports with to 100.
The program will roll out at Mitchell on Tuesday.
The passengers in the program will no longer have to take off their shoes or remove their laptops from their luggage.
If a passenger is eligible for expedited screening, an indicator will be embedded in the barcode of the boarding pass and scanned at the checkpoint.
TSA warns that passengers are always be subject "random and unpredictable security measures" throughout the airport, and no individual will be guaranteed expedited screening.
