FRANKLIN - A man is in custody after a Franklin neighborhood was locked down for several hours Monday.
Officers swarmed the neighborhood around 27th and Forest Hill around 5:30 p.m. Monday. The call came as a 40-year-old man threatened to hurt himself.
The situation soon swelled to wall off an entire neighborhood. The man police were looking for tried to run, but was stopped when a spike strip flattened his tire.
"We were able to make contact with him and take him into protective custody," said Capt. Joseph Spak with Franklin Police.
