MILWAUKEE -- Police arrested a Milwaukee man earlier this week after he spit into the eyes and mouth of an officer.
Larry A. Green, 28, was at the District 5 station, 2920 N. 4th Street, to put in a complaint about a family situation. As an officer approached, Green spit in his face.
Green was charged with a felony count of discharging a bodily fluid at a public safety worker, according to a release.
"It was clearly a disgusting, dispicable attack and hopefully the courts will treat the suspect as he should be," exclaimed MPD Captain Thomas Stigler, who runs District 5.
The officer was taken to the hospital for treatment of exposure to bodily fluids.
