Former MPS teacher accused of assault flees to Mexico
MILWAUKEE - The MPS teacher accused of sexually assaulting one of his students has fled to Mexico City, prosecutors say.
Armando Briseno-Alonso taught at Rogers Street Academy in Milwaukee but no longer works for Milwaukee Public Schools.
He was scheduled to appear in court earlier this month, but that date was delayed due to the extended closure of the Milwaukee County Courthouse, the Journal Sentinel reports.
A warrant has been issued for Briseno-Alonso's arrest.
