MILWAUKEE- The countdown is on to find day care as a number of school districts across the area have decided to cancel classes due to extreme cold temperatures.
Samantha Wright wasted no time to find a solution so she could go to work on Monday and know her son would have somewhere to go during the day.
"He has daycare so he will be there bright and early," Wright explained.
With wind chills as low as negative 45 degrees Monday... Milwaukee, Racine and Waukesha school districts decided Friday afternoon to make the call and close school.
Kiddie Academy of Learning Center usually closes when Milwaukee Public School district issues a weather closing but, owner, Erica Grady decided to stay open.
"A lot of our parents work retail are certified nursing assistants. said Erica Grady," To keep them from having to call in we decided to stay open."
With few options for working parents employers can expect a few unexpected absents Monday morning.
