Milwaukee Honor Flight brings more than WWII vets Saturday
MILWAUKEE - Another Honor Flight takes off from Milwaukee on Saturday, and this flight will have more than just World War II vets.
10 Korean War vets will join 103 World War II vets on the flight to Washington, D.C.
"They're going to be wearing a different color shirt, so spectators can distinguish who the Korean war veterans are," Renee Riddle with Honor Flight told 620WTMJ's "Wisconsin's Morning News."
A couple of brothers will be on Saturday's trip.
"One brother is a veteran of World War II. The other is a veteran of Korea," explained Riddle.
The usual welcome home ceremony is planned for the airport Saturday night.
The vets are scheduled to be back around 8:30.
