MILWAUKEE - A Wisconsin National Guard plane has landed safely after it experienced an engine issue in flight Thursday.
A spokesman for the 128th Air Refueling Wing base in Milwaukee said that one of the four engines on the KC-135 refueling plane failed, but the plane function on three engines before it landed.
It circled above the airport for about 45 minutes to try and burn off fuel before landing.
There was no initial confirmation of the type of engine trouble.
TODAY'S TMJ4's Shannon Sims reports that the plane initially was planning to land in Rockford, but the crew decided to land instead in Milwaukee.
