GREEN BAY - NBC's hit comedy "The Office" has entertained fans for nine years.
The final season wraps up later this month, and one very famous football star is making a guest appearance on Thursday's episode.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is all set to make his acting debut. I talked to some locals who tell me what they really think about this.
One of the characters on the show auditions at "America's Next A Capella Sensation."
Aaron Rodgers plays one of the judges.
“If there's someone who can make it work, it'll be him,” states Doug Cheever. “We've had Brett Favre on “There’s Something about Mary. It's always interesting to see them kind of awkwardly work through a little acting bid."
This man agrees and tells me seeing Rodgers is an added bonus.
“I've seen all the episodes of The Office,” claims Michael Goodness. “I love it. So it'll be cool to see some hometown talent on the show."
The fans I spoke to claim they won't be too critical.
“Favre always struck me as a little wooden. But it's always fun to see people out of their comfort zone and trying new things,” adds Goodness.
Rodgers may not be quitting his lucrative day job.
But his role on the hit show is sure to entertain The Office and football fans alike.
People tell me they'll be tuning in more for the entertainment value than to see his acting skills. This isn’t Aaron Rodgers's first tv appearance. He's also been on ads for Ford Trucks, Pizza Hut, and State Farm Insurance.
