MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Fire Department says that a car has hit a child on the city's northwest side.
According to Sgt. Mark Stanmeyer with Milwaukee Police, a 63-year-old woman was driving westbound on W. Villard just before 7 a.m. Friday morning, and was hit by a Jeep Cherokee driving southbound on N. 53rd Street.
The woman continued driving onto W. Villard, crossing into oncoming traffic. She eventually left the road and hit a 15-year-old pedestrian.
The woman's Escalade then hit a parked vehicle and finally stopped when she hit a tree on 57th and Villard. According to Stanmeyer, the woman in the Cherokee had failed to yield the right of way.
Both the 63-year-old woman and the 32-year old woman in the other car were taken to the hospital where she was treated and released.
The 15-year-old was taken to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
