JEFFERSON COUNTY - The County of Jefferson is submitting a Declaration of Emergency to the State of Wisconsin, said John Molinaro, the Jefferson County Board Chair.
"Current water levels within Jefferson County are at a critical state," he said. "With additional rain forecasted, current conditions will become severe."
The county hopes by filing the declaration with the State of Wisconsin, the state will assist with "obtaining additional resources if necessary to help Jefferson County respond to any emergencies."
Individuals should contact their local town, city or village for assistance.
