Brewers face Royals, predictions on Lohse effect and the cost of Opening Day
MILWAUKEE - As the Brewers face the Kansas City Royals' split squad on Wednesday, Milwaukee's newest star pitcher is getting ready for his first mound appearance.
Newsradio 620 WTMJ's next Brewers broadcast comes Thursday when Milwaukee faces the Colorado Rockies, with Bob Uecker and Joe Block calling the game. New Brewers starter Kyle Lohse is expected to pitch in that contest.
Positive reviews are coming in from ESPN and MLB Network about the Lohse move. An ESPN blogger predicts the move will add two more wins to the team's 2013 total.
Sports Illustrated also predicts the Brewers to finish 3rd in the NL Central; however, the prediction comes before the signing of Lohse.
Additionally, Yahoo! Sports takes another NCAA tournament approach on the Brewers, looking at the "Sweet 16" reasons for fans to be excited.
The Journal Sentinel reports that Logan Schafer will make the team's 25-man roster as a backup outfielder, "barring something silly," as manager Ron Roenicke put it.
