Temps nearing 100 again today in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE - Once again on Monday, the temperature gauges in the Milwaukee area will climb near that century mark.

A heat advisory has been issued for all of Southeastern Wisconsin.  It will go into effect from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. today.

Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele predicts that the official temperature at Mitchell International Airport won't reach 100 degrees, but it will get very close.

"The ridge which has been sitting over the central part of our nation leading to all the heat and parched conditions has eased eastward over Southeast Wisconsin, once again," said Scott.

"That means we'll start the work week with more of the same: hot high temperatures in the 90s, abundant sunshine, and dry conditions."

Scott tells us that there will be some relief from the drought conditions this week.

"Several disturbances could produce occasional periods of showers and thunderstorms tonight through Thursday, though none of the days would be complete washouts and some of the storms could be strong at times."
