Long stretch of widespread rain reaches last day in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE - On Tuesday, people in the Milwaukee area can expect one last day of widespread rain and storms in this current stretch of wet weather.

"Yet another disturbance slides through our region as the day progresses," said Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele.

"This could lead to some showers or even a few thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon.  The risk of showers will continue into the evening."

However, Scott gives us good news about the rash of rain we've experienced recently.

"That should be the end of any wide spread precipitation for several days.  While there could be a pop up shower in the instability of the afternoon on Wednesday, midweek will usher in a drier stretch of weather."

Scott tells us that sunshine should return "in a big way" with highs in the 60's on Thursday.
