GREEN BAY- The Green Bay Packers have re-signed LB Erik Walden, according to a statement issued by the Green Bay Packers. The signing was announced Monday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.
In 2011, Walden played in all 16 games and made a career-high 15 starts. Walden originally signed with the Packers as a free agent in October 2010 and went on to play in nine contests with two starts that season, along with another three starts in the postseason.
Walden was charged with a misdemeanor disorderly conduct-domestic abuse, after an arrest last Nov. 25 after an altercation with his live-in girlfriend. If he does 50 hours of community service and continues counseling, the charge will be dropped.
