Highs to reach mid-50's in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE - Spring will be here Tuesday.  At least it will seem like it in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele says that heavy winds will deliver the temperatures that will end the deep freeze the Milwaukee area has recently endured.

"As high pressure pushes off to our east, we'll see a return flow of southwesterly winds which will gust to near 30 mph," said Scott.

"These breezes will help boost our temperatures well above the seasonal average high of 39 degrees."

Scott even tells us this warmup may last a few days, too.

"We should reach the low to mid 50 today and tomorrow."

But, Scott warns that rain should be expected later this week, too.

"With the warm air and an approaching storm system from the west, look for scattered showers to develop Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday evening.  Clouds will gradually decrease on Thursday with some sun by the afternoon."
