MILWAUKEE- A Milwaukee Public Schools official confirmed Thursday that the district fired the principal it hired this year to lead Fairview School.

The former principal, Wendy Alexander, was removed from her postat Fairview on Oct. 14 after Florida residents who worked with Alexander at a private school she ran near Tampa started complaining that she had run off with their tuition money, or failed to pay back a business she hired to work on her old school.

TODAY'S TMJ4's Rob Koebel ran an investigative piece on Wendy Alexander earlier this month, and then a follow up piece the next day after the principal was put on administrative leave.

MPS spokeswoman Roseann St. Aubin said Thursday that Alexander was no longer an employee of the district as of Oct. 21.
