Minnesota writer bashes Jennings for comments against Rodgers

GREEN BAY - For much of this summer, former Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings has taken his ex-quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, to task.

Now, perhaps the most scathing criticism of Jennings' summer-long commentary has come from within his new city, the home of the Minnesota Vikings.

ESPN Twin Cities' Patrick Reusse has written a passionate commentary about Jennings and the verbiage he's thrown at Rodgers while heading to his archrival.

In it, Reusse lambastes Jennings on many fronts, particularly calling him "jealous" and more.

"All we heard about when Jennings (30 in September) signed with the Vikings was his class and his leadership. While he's a ways from the Randy Moss or Terrell Owens category, Jennings has now offered the personality seen in so many high-profile receivers: an egomaniac with a loud mouth," said Reusse.

"We all know now, as Jennings' shots at Rodgers have gone from veiled, to petty, to pathetic."

Rodgers chose to take a bit of a higher road in his thoughts on his former teammate.

He didn't take the kind of road that Reusse believes is a downward spiral for Jennings, "who has at least two of the Seven Deadly Sins well-covered in the attack on Rodgers: pride (the ego-based kind) and envy (the jealous kind)."
