NEW YORK - Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre will appear on the Today Show Monday, and in his interview with Matt Lauer, he discusses his thoughts on the sport of football, years after he left the NFL.
Favre does not have a son, but he told Lauer that if he did, "I would be real leery of him playing" football.
"In some respects, I'm almost glad I don't have a son because of the pressures he would face," he said.
Just last month, Favre said his memory loss has gotten so bad he can't remember many of his daughter's soccer games.
“I think after 20 years, God only knows the toll,” Favre said of the damage he received in the sport.
Favre also discusses the Miami Dolphins bullying scandal in the interview that will air Monday on Today on TODAY'S TMJ4 and NBC26.
